COUPLES THERAPY IN NEW YORK

For partners who want help navigating the discomfort that comes with growing together.

Maybe you’re early in your relationship and want to build a strong foundation around communication, difference, and navigating conflict before bigger challenges take root.
Maybe you’re in a season of transition and feeling stuck at an impasse. Life has changed. Responsibilities have grown. What worked before doesn’t quite work now, and you don’t know how to move forward together.
Maybe you’re feeling disconnected by the logistics of life. Parenting, work, and running a household have taken precedence, and the intimate connection between you has faded into the background.
Maybe you’re wanting more sexual connection or clarity. Desire may feel mismatched, confusing, or hard to talk about. You may want to explore intimacy more openly, safely, and honestly together.
Or maybe you’re exploring new relational dynamics. This can include nonmonogamy, redefining partnership agreements, or having hard conversations about restructuring or separating with care and intention. These conversations can feel daunting, but they are absolutely workable with support.

There is no “right” stage to seek support in a relationship.

COUPLES THERAPY FOR HIGH-ACHIEVING ADULTS IN NEW YORK

START THE CONVERSATION
No two people want the same things at the same times in the same ways. Therapy isn’t about eliminating conflict. It’s about learning to understand what each conflict is actually pointing toward.

In our work, we use moments of tension to clarify where you are aligned, where you’re different, and where new conversations need to happen. Conflict becomes information rather than something to fear or avoid.

The goal is not agreement on everything.
The goal is connection that can handle difference.

Conflict isn’t the problem.
It’s the inevitable condition of partnership.

HERE’S SOMETHING I KNOW TO BE TRUE

I'm ready to begin

What one or both of you may be carrying

Feeling guilty for wanting more connection, more intimacy, or more honesty
Trying to communicate, but getting stuck having the same conversations on repeat and still feeling misunderstood
Avoiding hard conversations to keep the peace or avoid hurting your partner
Feeling pressure to preserve a relationship structure that no longer fits who you’re becoming
Wanting to grow individually without drifting apart
Holding quiet resentment from unmet needs or unspoken expectations and not knowing how to fix it
Withholding questions about desire, freedom, or honesty that feel too risky to name out loud
Navigating mismatched desire, emotional rhythms, or time for intimacy

This is the emotional world of partners who care deeply, yet feel stuck between protecting the relationship and expressing what’s actually true.

I know this terrain well.

Having conversations where both partners feel heard and understood

Talking in circles and feeling misunderstood

Through this work, couples can move from:

Understanding conflict as usable information you can navigate together

Believing conflict means something is wrong

Creating new ways of relating that support who you are now

Getting stuck in old roles or patterns

Developing honesty that strengthens connection instead of threatening it

Avoiding hard conversations to keep the peace

Rebuilding emotional safety, curiosity, and intimacy

Feeling disconnected, mismatched, or resentful

These shifts happen slowly and steadily. The goal is not quick fixes. It’s lasting change.

These conversations can feel vulnerable and daunting. My role is to hold the complexity without judgment and help you stay connected while telling the truth. I bring humor, attunement, and gentle accountability into the room so nothing gets oversimplified and nothing gets avoided. Partners have space to speak fully, feel heard, and take responsibility for what they bring to the relationship.

This work isn’t about endless talking without movement. Most partners or people in relationships who work with me come in ready to engage and make meaningful shifts. My goal is not to keep you in therapy long-term, but to help you build the clarity, communication, and relational skills you need to move forward with confidence.

I create a space where partners can speak honestly without shame, moralizing, or being pushed into rigid ideas about what a relationship “should” look like.

MORE ABOUT MY APPROACH

Home is a big part of the work I do, especially in New York, where couples are often living, working, parenting, and managing life out of the same small spaces. When everything blends together, relationships can stop feeling like shelter and start feeling like another place you have to hold it all together. Therapy helps you cultivate emotional home inside your partnership so safety, connection, honesty, and rest can return, even in the middle of busy, complicated lives.

Your relationship should feel like home, not another place to perform.

I provide couples therapy to clients throughout New York via secure online sessions, supporting partners across NYC and throughout the state.
